What will you be doing?

We are looking for an experienced professional whose passion is creating and developing compelling proposals that excite the reader and win contracts.

You will aim to craft content that clearly articulates Veolia's value proposition for our customers across many sectors but with a focus on environmental, waste, water and energy services. This role will work on strategic opportunities and will include the following;

Develop a comprehensive understanding of client needs and contract specifications to ensure proposals align with their objectives.

Collaborate closely and flexibly with project teams to devise effective strategies for successful proposal development.

Take the lead in creating project summaries and conducting storyboarding exercises, working in partnership with client representatives to gather all necessary information to facilitate the writing process.

Craft compelling and persuasive content tailored to each client opportunity, leveraging contributions from the business to deliver industry-leading executive summaries, project descriptions, methodologies, timelines, and qualifications that translate into winning solutions and proposals.

Translate operational and business development knowledge into winning solutions and compelling proposals.

Identify and suggest relevant reference points, evidence, and case study content to enhance the quality of the response and support the development of these critical elements.

Ensure proposals follow a logical and organised structure, adhering to required formatting, tone of voice, and branding standards.

Collaborate and manage relationships with subject matter experts across the organisation, articulating complex and technical details to meet the client's tender requirements.

Maintain accountability for overall content quality, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and consistency while working within tight deadlines to deliver tenders and proposals.

Participate in client meetings and feedback sessions, and be responsible for identifying and communicating continuous improvement opportunities to the team.

Analyse bids to identify and share best practices with operational, bid, and business development teams, providing support to enrich standard bid library content.

What are we looking for?

Currently working in the utilities, construction, or facilities management field, experience in writing tenders with a value in excess of £150k.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver industry-leading service to all internal and external stakeholders.

Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and thrive in a high-pressure environment.

Proven capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced setting.

Demonstrated experience in project management.

Proficient in proofreading and editing with a keen eye for detail.

Working knowledge of G Suite and proposal automation tools.

Qualified to a degree level in a relevant field.

Possession of a related writing qualification or professional writing background, with APMP certification preferred.

An accomplished proposal writer with a demonstrable track record of success in formulating and delivering winning bids.
