A thriving secondary school in Lambeth is seeking a passionate and dedicated Biology Teacher to join their successful Science department. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity to inspire students and contribute to a supportive and collaborative learning environment. The school is looking for a committed Biology Teacher.

What We Seek:

  • Qualified Teacher: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.

  • Experience: Proven ability to teach Biology at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Key Stage 5 (A-Level Biology) experience is desirable, but not essential.

  • Passion: A genuine enthusiasm for Biology and a commitment to student success.

  • Skills: Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

  • Teamwork: A collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to the department.

  • Development: A dedication to continuous professional improvement.

    Responsibilities of the Biology Teacher:

  • Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and challenging Biology lessons.

  • Differentiating instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students.

  • Regularly assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback.

  • Maintaining accurate records of student attainment.

  • Creating a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom/laboratory environment.

  • Collaborating with colleagues within the Science department.

  • Contributing to the development of the Biology curriculum.

  • Ensuring the safe and effective use of laboratory equipment and materials.

  • Communicating effectively with parents/guardians.

  • Adhering to all school safeguarding policies.
