The Opportunity:
We are in search for a  National Head of Transport/Logistics (Bulk) to join a leading global engineering company. This is an integral role for the business for a  high-impact leadership role, overseeing national transport operations and playing a critical part in delivering essential services across the UK.
 As the National Head of Transport/Logistics (Bulk), you will be responsible for managing and coordinating bulk logistic operations across all regions of the UK. Influencing strategic management change, you will be leading a team of three Regional Transport Managers and overseeing a fleet of over 100 vehicles. Your leadership will ensure implementing strategic change whilst ensuring  the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of bulk products, also supporting and motivating our professional driver workforce.
As the National Head of Transport/Logistics (Bulk), you will have been in a Senior Leadership role with a proven track record implementing change and managing Trade Union relationships, alongside driver excellence. This is a key Senior Management role in shaping and implementing logistic strategies, motivating and encouraging your team through strategically important transformation change while maintaining high standards of performance, safety, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategically developing and implementing the bulk delivery strategy, aligned with both regional priorities and global industry best practices.
Championing a collaborative approach to change, working closely with teams to implement improvements that enhance service and culture.
Building strong, respectful relationships with internal and external partners, including trade unions, to foster a shared sense of purpose.
Leading and driving excellence in bulk transportation delivery operations, consistently surpassing performance targets while ensuring regulatory compliance.
Providing expert technical leadership and comprehensive oversight for internal transport services, acting as the region’s trusted Duty Holder.
Identifying and spearheading growth opportunities, championing continuous business improvements, and fostering innovative solutions that transform transport operations.
Playing a pivotal role in strategic planning as a key member of the on sites & bulk leadership team, influencing the future direction of the business.
Collaborating closely with Sales, Commercial, and Supply Chain teams to enhance service levels and deliver seamless, customer-centric transport solutions.What are we looking for:

Essential experience in senior transport or logistics management, with a proven ability to develop strategies, drive performance, and deliver outstanding results.
Previous experience engaging with trade unions will be advantageous.
A strong track record of successfully leading change initiatives, managing projects, and inspiring cross-functional teams.
In-depth understanding of safety, health, environmental, and quality standards, with a focus on transport safety and best operational practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels and fostering positive working relationships.
