Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Bid Writer to join our team, where you will be responsible for developing high-quality, compelling bid submissions for projects within the social housing and renewable energy/retrofit sectors. You will play a key role in winning new business, helping us to grow and contribute to sustainable development.

Key Responsibilities:



Lead and manage the bid writing process for public and private sector contracts related to social housing, renewables, and retrofit projects.

Collaborate with internal teams (technical, financial, legal, etc.) to gather relevant information and ensure bids are accurate, timely, and meet all client specifications.

Write and present clear, persuasive, and tailored proposals to clients, demonstrating the company’s expertise in social housing, sustainability, and green building solutions.

*

Develop and maintain a library of pre-written content, templates, and case studies specific to social housing, renewables, and retrofit work.

*

Monitor tender portals and proactively identify new business opportunities.

*

Ensure compliance with all submission requirements and industry standards.

*

Contribute to post-bid presentations and debriefs, working closely with the business development team to refine future proposals.

Key Skills & Experience:

*

Proven experience as a Bid Writer, ideally with a focus on social housing, renewables, and/or retrofit projects.

*

Strong understanding of the social housing sector, including relevant regulations, standards, and sustainability initiatives.

*

Experience in writing technical and commercially-focused bids for the renewables and retrofit sectors (e.g., energy efficiency, low-carbon solutions, green building technologies).

*

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor content to different audiences.

*

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met.

*

Experience working with tendering systems and managing the end-to-end process of submitting proposals.

*

Knowledge of the energy efficiency and decarbonization agendas would be highly beneficial
