About Our Client

Our client is a prominent and innovative leader in the customised clothing industry, specialising in high-quality solutions for businesses and organisation's, particularly in the gift wear sector for retail outlets at major tourist attractions across the UK. They are well established within their space, with over 30 years in business.

The Opportunity: Account Manager

Our client is looking to hire an Account Manager to join their Business Development team. This is a full-time role offering flexibility, with the option to work remotely or from their offices in London or Shropshire.

You will receive comprehensive training and support, from an established team member as they handover their client relationships to you. A crucial part of this onboarding will include joint visits to all major clients, facilitating a smooth handover of key relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Account Growth: Developing and nurturing strong relationships with an extensive list of high-profile clients, ensuring unparalleled customer satisfaction and retention. Benefit from a dedicated customer service team handling 95% of aftercare, allowing you to focus on strategic growth.
Target-Driven Sales: Selling customised clothing solutions to retail establishments at tourist attractions, crafting and presenting tailored solutions that meet diverse client needs. You will actively manage and expand an assigned client portfolio, with a clear focus on achieving and exceeding quarterly and yearly sales targets.
Nationwide Engagement: Comfortably travelling across the UK (typically 3 to 4 days on the road visiting clients in England, with remote work for the remainder of the week, plus annual visits across the wider UK) to conduct client meetings, deliver impactful presentations, and showcase exciting product concepts.
Collaborative Success: Collaborating closely with sales and marketing teams to align strategies and ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service.
Market Expansion: Identifying new business opportunities within the retail sector, leveraging your industry knowledge and research to strategically expand your client base.
Insightful Reporting: Providing regular updates on account activity, sales progress, and pertinent market insights to the Business Development leadership.

Skills & Requirements

4+ years experience in an account management/business development focused position, ideally within a relevant industry such as custom gifting/clothing, tourism etc
Comprehensive knowledge of the retail/tourism sectors
A demonstrated ability to effectively manage large account portfolios and build lasting client relationships.
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate concepts and ideas clearly and persuasively to clients.
Self-motivated, highly adaptable, and capable of working independently as part of a remote or office-based team.
