Your Role as Business Development Manager

In this exciting, field-based role, you’ll be driving new business opportunities while also strengthening existing customer relationships. After completing a tailored training programme, you’ll take charge of generating revenue, hitting ambitious growth targets, and contributing to a business that’s transforming waste management across Rochdale, Oldham and surrounding boroughs.

You’ll be out in the field doing what you do best—building connections, creating opportunities, and closing deals that make a difference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Sales Growth – Build and deliver strategies to smash ambitious revenue targets.

  • Lead Generation – Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive outreach and smart networking.

  • Client Relationships – Develop long-term, trusted partnerships with customers.

  • Sales Closure – Create compelling proposals and negotiate to secure mutually beneficial agreements.

  • Market Expansion – Spot opportunities to expand across Greater Manchester and surrounding areas.

  • Team Collaboration – Work with internal teams to ensure clients enjoy a seamless journey from first contact to loyal partnership.

  • Proven Sales Experience – Consistently hitting or surpassing targets, ideally within a B2B environment.

  • Strong Communicator – Confident, clear, and persuasive when presenting ideas or negotiating.

  • Tech Savvy – Comfortable with CRM systems and sales tools.

  • Self-Starter – Motivated, independent, and thrives in a field-based role.

  • Driver’s License – A valid UK license is essential.
