Based in North London, we specialise in providing high quality cleaning services to residential apartment blocks across London, there is possibility for growth within office and commercial cleaning.
Established in 1996 we have over 350 cleaning contracts on file, with a clientele ranging from Housing Associations to exclusive Property Managers, and buildings ranging from apartment blocks to converted houses.
Job Role:
We are looking for a strategic and proactive Operations Manager to manage, lead, develop and motivate the Operations Team so that the highest standards of excellence and professionalism are attained and the Company’s commercial objectives are achieved.
Main Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement a strategic Operations plan for successful growth
• Lead and motivate the Contract Managers to achieve business goals and surpass client expectations by offering an exceptional service
• Build and maintain positive client relationships through regular meetings
• Introduce and embed systems and processes necessary for ISO 9001 certification
• Oversee the business development activities of the Operations team and manage the tendering process for new and existing works
• Manage and review the performance of the Operations Team, identify training needs and provide support, coaching and training where necessary
• Accountable for the effective financial management of the Operations department
• Ensure the Operations team are fully compliant with employment legislation and Company policy
• Responsible for ensuring that all health and safety legislation is adhered to and policies and practices are adopted
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
• Senior management experience in the facilities sector, preferably cleaning involving overseeing a number of managers at one time,
• Experience of setting up new systems and processes to improve service delivery,
• Experience of client liaison & negotiation along with financial forecasting, budget management & analysis
• A good understanding of employment legislation and HR procedures including the disciplinary and grievance process,
• Highly experienced in people management with proven ability to lead, inspire and manage a remote team to drive performance,
• Strategic leader who works with others to deliver tangible and highly visible results, whilst displaying excellent delegation and organisational skills
• Proven competence in developing complex business plans to meet company objectives and a good technical ability in evaluating, monitoring and measuring the development and cost benefit of service provision
• Able to work to tight timescales and with a strong sense of self-motivation and a creative approach towards problem solving whilst thriving on complex and unusual challenges
• Ability to independently set clear priorities, with very strong organisational and decision-making skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience of setting up new systems and processes to improve service delivery
• A good understanding of employment legislation and HR procedures
• Clean manual driving Licence
