The Role


As a Consultant or Senior Consultant, you’ll assess, design, and oversee the delivery of diverse projects, including river habitat restoration, pond enhancements, erosion control, and wetland creation. You’ll collaborate with colleagues across consultancy and operations, with travel to some of the most incredible landscape nationwide.


What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct site investigations in and near waterways, producing technical designs, cost estimates, and reports.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of projects from concept to delivery, including setting up programs, obtaining permits, and supervising installations.
  • Perform topographical surveys and utilise GIS/CAD tools to create impactful designs.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, oversee budgets, and ensure timelines are met.
  • Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of continuous learning.



Attributes Required


Essential:

  • Proven ability to manage and deliver projects, with at least 3 years of relevant experience (landscape, consultancy, civil/environmental engineering, wetlands, restoration, or ecology).
  • Qualifications or equivalent experience in environmental science, hydrology, ecology, geology, or similar fields.
  • Passionate about environmental solutions.
  • Full UK driving licence and a willingness to travel.
  • Comfortable working in and around water – being able to swim is required.


Desirable:

  • Knowledge of river restoration, geomorphology, or hydrology.
  • Familiarity with on-site construction and use of plant equipment
  • Drone surveying experience
  • SMSTS/CSCS accreditation.
