About the Job

Manages & coordinates depot functions like technical, hire desk, logistics, parts, procurement, operator management, commercial, finance, SHEQ, and TMW/admin engaged in depot operation and respective function.
Drives the efficient execution and monitors the performance of the Manlift wide depot operation strategy, standards, processes, and policies to optimize the availability for rental of all machines, presented in safe, reliable, and aesthetically good condition.

Your Role as a Depot Manager

  • Responsible for smooth operations & functioning of the depot in line with the Manlift/Riwal policies and KPI’s.
  • Day-to-day monitoring & coordination of the function teams posted at the depot & region, ensuring teamwork and issue resolutions at the earliest within the company’s regulations & framework.
  • Direct reporting to the Region Commercial Manager, Rental Desk Manager, AR Regional Manager, Technical Manager, SHEQ, TMW, Admin Manager, and Operator Desk Executive posted at the depot or in the region.
  • Participating in the weekly/monthly review meetings with the Department Heads and Country Management to ensure depot deliveries on all the revenue, budget, cost, customer service & fleet management KPI’s.
  • Monitor and plan depot facilities, depot budgets vs expenses, and have monthly reviews with CM & CFM for depot P&L.
  • Implementation of operational excellence across the Manlift Operations Teams at the depot (Fleet, Procurement, Transportation, Disposal of Scrap) and ensure transparency in reporting & MIS.
  • Develop KPI’s for the team members and monitor team results & performance on a monthly/quarterly/semi-annual/annual basis in coordination with HR Head and Country Manager.
  • Collaborate with HR & Operator Desk for sourcing, deployment & regular checks on the operators/supervisors/helpers at the rental project sites or bench at the depot, in line with the Country Strategy.
  • Hiring of technicians, as per the budget & revenue planning for the depot and working in close coordination with Operations Head for the technical KPI’s and technical manager at the depot.
  • Work closely with the Regional Commercial Team & Commercial Head for setting technical priority of machines repairs & dispatches against the rental orders, daily management of the processes at the depot level.
  • Support managers & function team at the depot in the day-to-day management of processes and customer issue resolution on a timely basis in consultation with the HOD’s or Country Manager.
  • Conduct weekly & monthly review meetings at the depot with the concerned team, to improve the integration of departments at the depot level/regional level.
  • Prepare MIS reports and submit on a timely basis for management review.
  • Responsible for monitoring fleet application and customer complaints & breakdowns (suspension days) at depot level to improve the Customer Satisfaction Score.
  • Developing new vendors for parts, consumables, and transportation sourcing in the region & depot for reducing cost, without compromising on the quality and safety of the machines, in close coordination with Operation Head.
  • Planning controls, monitoring parts & consumables issuance & consumption patterns at the depots, to ensure operations expenses are within budgeted costs.
  • Reviewing the repair & refurbishment of hard down and long staging machines with technical manager & technicians, to ensure full utilization of the available fleet in the country.
  • Maintaining the parts warehouse at all the depots.
  • Implementation of safety standards as per Manlift standards at the depot and customer site locations, analyzing incidents and taking corrective steps.

What Do You Have to Offer Us?

Education: Graduate/Post graduate or diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Automobile).

Minimum 10 years of experience with at least 5 years in a managerial/supervisory role.

Experience in the MEWPs, earthmoving equipment, gen set industry, material handling equipment is necessary.

Skills: Leadership and supervisory skills, enthusiastic and self-motivated, team player with excellent communication and people management skills, negotiation skills, computer literate with proficiency in MS Office, fluent in English, Hindi, local language will be an advantage.
