This is an outstanding career opportunity with a market leader providing arboricultural services to private and public sector businesses.
Glendale arboriculture carries out a wide range of tree-related works for domestic, commercial & public sector clients, throughout London and the South East. We are looking for staff to join our arboriculture teams based in Waltham Abbey.
We can guarantee our staff have work every day through varying channels with Barnet Council, Hertsmere Council, Dacorum Council, Lee Valley Park, as well as a large proportion of private clients.
Services offered in this region include woodland and estates management, vegetation management, fencing, tree surgery, forestry and environmental engineering projects.
Our Waltham Abbey depot currently employs 8 qualified and experienced full-time arborists and 2 full-time trainee/apprentice arborists. Working from 7 am - 4.30 pm 5 days per week. Regular paid overtime is also available outside of these hours.
Our arborists benefit from a vast array of tools and equipment, from high-end timberwolf chippers, Husqvarna and Stihl handheld equipment including battery equivalent tools, Mobile Elevated Platforms, remote-controlled stump grinders and 3.5t - 7.5t arb spec vehicles.

The Qualified Person
  • Proactive member of staff with a passion for arboriculture
  • Strong team working ethic essential
  • The candidate will need to be flexible and reliable with a thorough, proven knowledge of all aspects of tree work: ground and aerial
  • Comfortable undertaking arboricultural duties including tree pruning, dismantling & felling
  • Nature of work requires the qualified candidates to hold the relevant industry qualifications such as NPTC certificates: 201(CS30), 202(CS31), 206/306(CS38) 308(CS39). Possession of a valid CSCS card would be an advantage. A full, UK driving licence is desired, preferably with trailer towing up to 3,500kg.
