Role Overview:The Safety Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing key aspects of Insight Environmental's Safety program. This role requires a proactive, self-motivated individual with the ability to lead safety initiatives and collaborate with field and management teams to ensure the safety of all operations. The Safety Manager will play a critical role in maintaining a safety-oriented work culture and driving continuous improvement in safety standards across the company's projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the development, implementation, and maintenance of the company's safety policies and procedures in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Conduct weekly safety training for new employees and provide ongoing safety training for field staff.
  • Maintain and manage contractor programs such as ISN, NCMS, and Veriforce.
  • Report and document all injuries, equipment damage events, vehicle accidents, near hits, and environmental impacts in the Incident-Portal within 24 hours. Responsible for reporting incidents in accordance with the Incident Reporting and Investigation Policy.
  • Investigate incidents to determine root causes and develop corrective actions. Track corrective actions to completion.
  • Perform field audits, facility audits, and personnel audits to ensure compliance with all applicable policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain safety records and documentation, including incident reports, safety observation forms, and training logs.
  • Collaborate with regional management to develop corrective action plans for identified safety deficiencies.
  • Lead safety audits at job sites and facilities, offering coaching and recommendations on best practices.
  • Promote the company's safety program and drive a culture of continuous improvement and compliance of policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Leadership Team to evaluate safety performance and implement initiatives that align with company objectives.
  • Travel to project sites and client locations as needed.

Qualifications:

  • CSO Training Required, or obtained within 30 days of hire.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing safety programs, preferably in the environmental, health, and safety sectors with a focus on energy or oil and gas projects.
  • Associate's degree in a related discipline (Bachelor's preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA/MSHA regulations, hazard recognition, injury management, and environmental safety.
  • Experience with conducting safety audits, incident investigations, and preparing reports.
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team while maintaining a collaborative approach with all employees.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power BI) and familiarity with databases and safety management systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and make decisions to improve safety processes.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel across the United States to various job sites.

Physical And Environmental Requirements:

  • The role involves fieldwork in potentially hazardous environments, including exposure to loud noise, flammable substances, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, climbing (up to 200 feet), and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Required to wear safety gear, including flame-resistant clothing and steel-toe boots, when on job sites.
