Strategic Sales Implementation: Develop and execute sales strategies tailored to meet and exceed sales targets within the South UK territory. This involves identifying business opportunities, crafting sales plans, and overseeing their implementation. Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate and expand existing customer relationships while identifying and developing new business opportunities with rental companies. Focus on understanding the unique needs of each customer to tailor solutions that enhance mutual growth. Market Analysis and Customer Insight: Engage directly with customers to anticipate future business needs, ensuring that Genie remains at the forefront of the MEWP market. This includes conducting market analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and customer expectations. Proposal and Bid Management: Prepare detailed proposals, tenders, and quotations tailored to the specific requirements of clients, ensuring competitive and compelling offers that align with company standards and client expectations. Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with the Service and Operations departments to ensure seamless communication and support, fostering an environment of integrated service delivery that enhances customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Team and Personal Development: We’re looking for someone who is not only passionate about sales but also committed to continuous learning and growth. Experience: A minimum of 5 years of commercial experience, with a proven track record in sales within a related field such as industrial equipment, heavy machinery, forklifts, or platforms. A degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience in a relevant position will also be considered, providing a solid foundation in sales and customer interaction. Technical Proficiency: A good basic understanding of technical aspects related to MEWPs and similar equipment, which will be crucial for credibility and problem-solving with clients. Industry Knowledge: Prior experience or knowledge in selling industrial equipment or machinery will be considered a significant advantage, enhancing your ability to quickly adapt and excel in this role. Travel: This position requires regular travel within the South UK territory to meet with clients, attend industry events, and maintain direct customer engagement.
