Aquilo recruitment are working in partnership with a market leading printing business who are looking for a New Business Sales Manager to join their growing team with an attractive basic, car allowance and commission, the right person needs to have a background in print and be happy to travel to Hull twice a week in the first few months to establish themselves withihn the team and company.

RESPONSIBLE TO

Chief Sales Officer

Main Function:

To develop profitable new business sales through the acquisition of new client accounts for the Group, led by proactive outreach techniques, including LinkedIn management, networking, targeted emails, and cold calling, plus follow-up to inbound leads.

Key Performance Tasks:

New Business Development

Create and maintain prospect database.

Develop opportunities within key vertical sectors.

Grow, maintain and leveraging networks.

Attend industry events to grow your network and remain informed about industry trends and customer needs.

Follow up on warm inbound leads.

Identify key decision makers within prospect accounts.

Secure initial calls/meetings with prospective clients.

Create persuasive presentations, taking into account the client’s needs and objectives with the aim of converting prospects to customers.

Form an integral part of the sales and marketing team to maximise personal and team performance.

Be aware of market and competitor developments to help inform our ongoing approach.

Complete weekly activity reports.

Planning

Complete comprehensive planning to develop the new business pipeline.

Facilitate research to identify the key objectives and requirements of your target personas.

Work with senior managers, estimating, marketing and production to provide prospects with creative and innovative solutions for their requirements.

Research organisations and individuals to identify new leads and new markets.

Identify opportunities for campaigns, services and products that will lead to an increase in sales.

Work with sales and marketing colleagues to ensure we cover the prerequisites for doing business with a prospective client, such as vendor lists or participating in tender processes.

Help build and develop the Group’s unique selling position and differentiators.

Work with marketing to increase awareness of the Company through the use of case studies, samples, open events, demonstrations, exhibitions, advertising and press relations.

Ensure prospects are credit worthy and consistent with our company values.

Reporting

Submit new business activity report to senior managers on a weekly basis.

Use internal computer systems, including Optimus.

Complete and maintain weekly forecasts to pre-agreed sales targets.

Track and record account activity to help close deals and meet targets.

Ensure that you are a professional and respected ambassador for the company.

Build and maintain a Customer Relationship Management prospecting database.

Produce and present compelling propositions within the framework of the group marketing and sales strategy.

To successfully close sales opportunities.

Operational

Authorise all quotations prior to submission to customer.

Obtain credit checks from finance.

Perform other duties that reasonably correspond to the general requirements of the post and are appropriate with its level of responsibility in order to contribute to the success of the Company.

Ensure compliance with the Quality and Security Policies and Procedures (see attached documents).

Performance Indicators / Targets:

Achieve turnover and profitability targets.

Ensure there is a pipeline of companies and contacts for conversion in to future clients.

High levels of activity and energy - demonstrated by rates of prospect meetings, pipeline, and conversions.

To uphold the Company’s values by being customer focused, service driven, innovative, collaborative, flexible, enterprising and accountable.

Essential Skills:

Proven track record of identifying, developing and securing B2B sales opportunities.

Excellent networking skills.

Ability to prioritise and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

High degree of professionalism and attention to detail.

Ambitious, persistent and self-motivated.

Articulate, confident presenter.

Good knowledge of print market and competitors – directly relating to the services of the business.

Sound working knowledge of computing systems, including core Microsoft applications e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Good understanding of the needs of customers and how to communicate these clearly to other departments.

Flexible and adaptable approach, with good time management skills and an ability to work under pressure.
