Salary: Competitive, negotiable DoE - £45,000 - £60,000

The Opportunity

A multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Bid Co-ordinator to join its UK Bid Team, playing a pivotal role in securing major infrastructure work, particularly across Highways and Bridges. This position will focus on managing high-value bids, coordinating multidisciplinary input, and producing compelling proposals that align with business growth objectives.
This is a chance to step into a senior role within a high-performing team, contributing directly to strategic wins and business development efforts across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate the development of major bids, ensuring alignment with client requirements and internal governance.
Facilitate bid kick-off meetings, define win themes, manage timelines, and allocate roles across the team.
Write and edit high-quality proposal content, including bespoke answers, case studies and supporting documents.
Collaborate with internal teams to gather, review and refine technical input, ensuring accuracy, clarity and alignment with the bid strategy.
Oversee the production of submission documents, including formatting, proofing and final quality assurance.
Support preparation for client presentations, coordinating content and organising mock interview sessions.
Identify opportunities to enhance bid processes and implement best practices across the team.
Capture and disseminate lessons learned from previous bids.
Contribute to the development of marketing materials including CVs and project sheets.
Mentor and support colleagues in understanding the bid process and effective bid writing. Requirements

Essential

Proven experience in bid coordination and bid writing within the public procurement space, with a focus on infrastructure.
Experience working in the engineering, construction, or architectural sectors.
Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to communicate technical content clearly and persuasively.
Experience managing multiple deadlines and coordinating inputs from diverse teams.
Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Teams, SharePoint and related tools.
Ability to travel occasionally to UK offices as required. Desirable

Experience in bid coordination and bid writing within the public procurement space with a focus on highways and bridges.
Familiarity with Adobe InDesign or similar design tools.
APMP membership or certification.
Experience of line management or mentoring within a bid or business development context. What's in it for me?
