About the Role

At Altro, we’ve been proudly manufacturing premium flooring and wall cladding systems in the UK since 1919. We’re currently looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our Logistics department. This is a varied and active role where you’ll be involved in everything from picking and packing customer orders to loading transport vehicles and supporting stock takes. You’ll play a key part in helping us deliver a great customer experience.

This is a full time (39.5 hours per week) permanent role working rotating day shifts at our Letchworth Garden City head office. The hours are Week 1: 6am-2pm, Week 2: 2pm - 10pm (earlier finish on the Friday late shift).


Job Opportunity

What you’ll be doing:

  • Picking and packing flooring orders to meet deadlines
  • Loading and unloading transport vehicles
  • Supporting stock takes and maintaining accurate records
  • Keeping your work area tidy and safe through 5S processes
  • Following operating procedures and health & safety guidelines
  • Supporting continuous improvement and contributing ideas
  • Working flexibly across different tasks and shifts as needed



Essential Skills

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
  • A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work safely and responsibly in a busy environment
  • Forklift truck driving experience (or willingness to train)
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks
  • PC literate and confident with basic systems
