Are you an accomplished Bid Manager or Bid Writer with a record of winning substantial contracts in the fire and security industry—or wider technical sectors such as M&E, building services, or technology integration?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a respected national provider of fully compliant solutions, specialising in fire safety systems, electronic security, and integrated infrastructure. You’ll play a key role in driving business growth by securing major contracts valued up to £5 million.

The Role

You will lead and coordinate end-to-end bid activity, producing high-quality, persuasive submissions that clearly demonstrate value, compliance, and innovation. Your expertise will directly contribute to the successful acquisition of new projects across both public and private sectors.

Key Responsibilities



Manage the preparation and submission of PQQs, SQs, and tenders for complex contracts

Write, edit, and proofread compelling bid content tailored to client requirements

*

Coordinate inputs from technical specialists, estimators, and sales colleagues

*

Ensure compliance with all procurement processes, legislation, and internal policies

*

Maintain and update tender logs, framework records, and accreditations

*

Identify and track new opportunities through tender portals and procurement trackers

*

Support the design and development of business proposals and frameworks

*

Attend regional offices as required and work closely with the senior management team based in Huddersfield

About You

Essential:
✅ Proven experience in bid management and writing within the fire and security industry OR Proven experience in related technical sectors such as mechanical and electrical (M&E), building services, facilities management, or technology integration
✅ Track record of securing high-value contracts (£250k–£5m)
✅ Excellent written communication and persuasive writing skills
✅ Strong understanding of procurement and compliance requirements
✅ Skilled at building collaborative relationships across multiple teams
✅ High level of accuracy, organisation, and time management
✅ Ability and willingness to travel to company offices across the UK when required
