Bid Writer – Construction & Social Housing
Location: Bracknell, Berkshire (with potential relocation to Hemel Hempstead by the end of 2025)
Type: Full-time, Permanent

Hybrid Working: Up to 3 days per week from home after successful 3-month probation

This is a key opportunity for an experienced Bid Writer to make a real impact in a well-established and growing construction business, specialising in refurbishment and planned maintenance within the social housing sector.

You’ll be part of a small, collaborative, and fast-paced team, taking ownership of producing compelling, high-quality bids that directly influence the company’s success. Your role will involve crafting detailed responses to PQQs and ITTs, developing supporting materials like case studies, and ensuring all submissions reflect our brand values and meet client expectations.

Key responsibilities

  • Create persuasive, well-structured written responses to PQQs, ITTs, and case studies

  • Manage and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high standards

  • Enhance and maintain the bid library with updated, relevant content

  • Uphold the company’s tone of voice, branding, and messaging across all bid documents

  • Stay informed on market trends and client needs to bring innovation to submissions

  • Work closely with internal teams to gather technical and project-specific input

  • Support business development initiatives and align submissions with strategic goals

    What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in bid writing within the construction sector

  • Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure and meet strict deadlines

  • Exceptional written English, with a keen eye for grammar, clarity, and structure

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills across all levels of the business

  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team

  • Proficiency in MS Word and general IT competence
