Junior Field Service Technician to join their dynamic team.

Location: You will ideally be based in Edinburgh/Glasgow, although candidates based along the England/Scotland border will also be considered.
Hours:8am - 5pm Monday-Friday + out of hours and on call duty
Salary: £32,000 - £34,000 per annum depending on experience + 25 days annual leave + bank holidays, access to employee health scheme, pension
As a Junior Field Service Technician, you will support the installation, maintenance, repair, and servicing of physical security products across customer sites. Working closely with experienced engineers, you will learn how to diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and deliver excellent customer service.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work, problem-solving, and working independently. You will be provided with the tools, training, and support needed to develop your technical skills and progress within the business.
Key responsibilities include:- Assisting with planned preventative maintenance and reactive service visits.
- Supporting the installation and commissioning of security products.
- Learning to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults.
- Completing job reports using a company-issued tablet.
- Maintaining vehicle stock, tools, and equipment.
- Adhering to health and safety requirements and company procedures.
- Providing excellent customer service during all site visits.
- Supporting senior technicians and collaborating with colleagues across the business.
Our ideal applicant will have/be:- A keen interest in engineering, mechanical, or electrical systems.
- Previous experience in a hands-on, technical, maintenance, installation, or customer-facing role would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Basic IT skills and confidence using mobile devices or tablets.
- A willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
- Good problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
- A positive, proactive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A full UK Driving License.
