The Malloy Aeronautics Team:

Malloy Aeronautics Limited specializes in the development of heavy lift unmanned air vehicles (UAVs) for both civilian and military uses. Located in Berkshire, our operations are notable for their focus on in-house design and manufacturing. This vertical integration means we control the production of most aircraft components on-site, enhancing our ability to innovate and maintain high standards across all stages of development.

About The Role:

Malloy aeronautics is looking for a manual machinist to support continued company growth via our small machine shop. We are looking for a motivated and skilled Machinist to join our team.

Ability to hold Security Clearance – 5 years residence in the UK

What you’ll being doing:

* Program and set 3-axis VMC using machining strategies at the machine and / or off-line from 3D data.

* Demonstrable experience in manual or CNC turning in either plastics or metallics.

* Positive attitude - able to communicate good practises / ideas to designers and technicians.

* Ability to interpret engineering drawings such that machined parts meet required specifications, tolerances, and quality standards.

* Prioritize and schedule work according to deadlines, ensuring effective use of machine time and sensible workflow.

* Experience of MiG / arc welding of simple assemblies.

Essential Skills and Experiences:

* Proven experience in machining, including manual milling and turning.

* Good working knowledge of materials, tools, and machining processes.

* Knowledge of health and safety standards in a machining environment.

* Self-motivated and reliable, with the ability to manage time and schedules effectively.

Desired Skills and Experiences:

* Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

* Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained, calibrated, and in good working order.

* Participate in regular safety inspections and risk assessments.

* Ensure that all work areas are kept clean and free of hazards.
