Remuneration: £28,000 - £35,000 + bonus

The role of the CAD Technician – Flat Roofing Systems will involve:

• CAD Technician position dealing with various flat roof systems such as; felt roofing, green roofing systems, bitumen membranes, hot melt roofing, cold liquid applied waterproofing, waterproof roof coatings, single ply, structural waterproofing etc
  
  
• Produce, check and process incoming design drawing requests, technical documentation and technical calculations
  
  
• Checking incoming specifications against client and technical requirements such as sustainability and compatibly
  
  
• Carrying out calculations relative to waterproof design (thermal performance, drainage, wind loads, and PV)
  
  
• Fielding inbound technical enquiries via telephone and email
  
  
• Keep up to date with Industry Codes of Practice & Building Regulations
  
  The ideal applicant will be a CAD Technician – Flat Roofing Systems with:
  
  
• Must have CAD experience within the construction industry
  
  
• Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings
  
  
• Would consider architects, architectural technicians, surveyors, draughtsmen etc
  
  
• Ideally will have a construction related degree
  
  
• Strong technical skills
  
  
• IT literate (Microsoft Office)
  
  
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
