Consult Energy are working with a B2B energy supplier who are committed to providing energy supply and Net-Zero solutions to industrial and commercial consumers. This growing company are looking to add a Business Development Manager to their direct sales team

The role and essential functions of the job:

Acquire accounts with energy consumption above 25GWh, encompassing both electricity and gas customers.
Oversee and coordinate complex tenders from enquiry to deal acceptance, ensuring efficient and professional handling of bids to secure contract renewals.
Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets.
Generate leads and cold call prospective customers.
Determine pricing and deal structures to optimise propositions and drive growth. Collaborate with the Trading Desk team to structure appropriate proposals and products
Prepare and present regular reports to management on account performance and growth, providing insights into account performance, renewal rates, revenue growth, and potential opportunities for further development.   
Essential key skills required:

Strong interpersonal skills, confident, credible, persuasive, and a collaborative team-player.
Minimum of 3 years in a similar role within Energy sector
Good knowledge and understanding of the UK energy markets.
Experience in negotiating and selling fixed and flexible energy contracts.
An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to bring significant value to the BGS business.
Strong interpersonal skills, confident, credible, persuasive, and a collaborative team-player.
Excellent written and verbal English communication and analytical skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and engage with a matrix audience.
Ability to influence internal stakeholders toward strategic directions, product development, and profitable customer value delivery.
Ability to clearly present complex structures and solutions   
Benefits

Salary up to £65,000 DOE plus annual bonus of up to 20%
25 days annual leave in addition to Bank holidays.
