Our client is seeking a driven and commercially minded Internal Business Development Representative to join the Welfare Hire team in Normanton. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, nurturing existing client relationships, and supporting the external sales function to grow revenue across our innovative range of welfare and eco products.

As the first point of contact for many of our customers, you will play a vital role in promoting our hire solutions, understanding client needs, and ensuring a professional, solutions-led service. As an Internal Business Development Representative, you will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. You must be comfortable making outbound calls, generating interest, qualifying prospects, and closing sales, helping to steer the sales focus and support company strategic objectives.

Internal Business Development Representative Job Overview

Proactively engage in outbound telesales activity, including cold calling and targeted email outreach.
Generate new business opportunities by following up on inbound leads and conducting outbound prospecting via phone and email.
Understand and assess customer needs to provide appropriate solutions and build value.
Qualify opportunities and route them to the relevant sales executive for further development and closure.
Research target accounts, identify key decision-makers and stakeholders, and build interest in Welfare Hire's solutions.
Consistently identify and pursue new sales opportunities to support business growth.
Create and execute a structured CRM contact plan to maintain regular engagement with both existing customers and new prospects.
Drive lead generation and new business conversion through effective prospecting and relationship building.
Respond promptly and proactively to all incoming leads and enquiries to maximise conversion rates.
Develop new business and grow existing accounts in line with budget targets and strategic business objectives.
Adhere to the approved sales process when qualifying, nurturing, and converting prospects to meet order conversion goals.
Ensure all customer contact information and activity is accurately maintained within the CRM system.
Represent the brand and values professionally to uphold our reputation as a market leader.

Internal Business Development Representative Job Requirements

Minimum of 1 years' experience in telesales, including cold calling and outbound lead generation.
Target-driven mindset with a strong focus on achieving and exceeding sales goals and deadlines.
Demonstrated success in consistently surpassing sales targets or quotas.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently and professionally.
Customer-focused approach with a courteous, accurate, and efficient communication style.
Highly organised with strong attention to detail, ensuring accurate recording and tracking of enquiries.
Able to build credibility quickly and make informed decisions while aligning with the organisation's values and priorities.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and develop positive relationships with both colleagues and clients.
Confident negotiator with the ability to secure commercially viable agreements and close business effectively.

Internal Business Development Representative Salary & Benefits

£25,000-£28,000 salary dependant on experience.
Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.
25 days annual leave (plus Bank Holidays)
