Job Opportunity: Personal Advisor (Leaving Care Team) 🌟
📍 Bedford Borough Council  | 🚗 Must be a driver | 💼 Contract / Locum Role 28PAYE per hour 
Are you passionate about supporting young people in their journey to independence? We’re seeking an experienced Personal Advisor to join a dynamic Leaving Care Team, providing tailored support to care leavers, including Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) and young people previously supported by the Child Welfare Department (CWD).
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
Fulfil statutory responsibilities to care leavers, including UASC and CWD cohorts
Build positive relationships with young people aged 18+, supporting their transition into adulthood
Lead on Pathway Planning, ensuring young people’s goals, needs, and aspirations are met
Conduct regular visits (some out of borough) and maintain accurate records
Participate in duty rota and provide sickness cover when required
Liaise with multi-agency partners to ensure holistic support for young people🔹 Requirements:
Must be a car driver and live within a commutable distance of the office
Flexibility to travel across the UK and occasionally work outside standard hours
Previous experience as a Personal Advisor is essential
Strong understanding of Leaving Care duties and the needs of the UASC cohort
