Your new role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Regional Commercial Marketing team, bringing to life one of the most unique and exciting commercial propositions in the marketplace. Using a range of marketing channels, you will provide collateral, insights and activations across our radio, outdoor and digital audio portfolio to support the local sales teams and engage local customers.

In your first few months you’ll have:

What you’ll need

  • You’ll be the super-user of marketing systems, and use these to produce media, marketplace, brand, competitor and category insights that help the commercial teams win business

  • You’ll produce innovative and dynamic presentations and sales materials to demonstrate the strengths of Global’s radio, outdoor and DAX portfolio, turning raw data into persuasive narratives and impactful visualisations

  • You’ll respond to briefs for regional clients, delivering audience insights and tailored product recommendations to support the sales team and ensure that our pitches stand out in the market

  • You’ll manage systems and processes to ensure that the sales teams are kept informed about what’s available and have easy access to fresh insights, leads and success stories

  • You'll manage the audience and category content for our sales enablement platform, Showpad, keeping it up to date, relevant, and engaging for users

  • You'll produce quarterly reports for Sales management, with ad expenditure and marketplace insights

  • You'll build PCAs and case studies, outlining campaign objectives, delivery and results from successful campaigns

  • You’ll use your insight expertise to contribute ideas and identity opportunities to feed into our local customer contact strategy

  • You’ll support the team at local networking events across the country when needed, helping with planning and post event follow up to maximise impact

  • You’ll join team away days and meetings in London and across regional offices, connecting with colleagues and sharing ideas with the wider Commercial Marketing, Design and Insight team

  • Got to know Global’s audio brands and outdoor products inside and out, along with the unique value they each offer to local advertisers

  • Built your knowledge of trade marketing systems and provided insights for sales pitches that show how we connect the right audiences to our local customers

  • Identified the most exciting and trending categories, creating compelling sales materials that helped the team attract and win new business

  • Attended a networking event to experience firsthand how Global engages with local advertisers – in the wild!

  • An understanding or curiosity about the wider media landscape and the individual roles of radio, outdoor and digital media channels

  • Passionate about insights, you know how to find an engaging sales story and have a knack for presenting findings in a dynamic way

  • Knowledge of trade marketing systems, including TGI, Mintel, Ad Dynamix, Mediatel, Aureus, Route and RAJAR would be beneficial but not essential

  • Advanced Keynote and PowerPoint skills, you’ll have a real eye and skill for design to ensure that Global’s brand guidelines are followed in all regional materials and communications

  • Digital savvy, with a keen desire and ability to use and integrate new technologies and systems into the marketing function

  • Brilliant at communication so that you explain things clearly

  • Totally organised so you hit every deadline every time and keep all the plates spinning

  • Creative and able to come up with great ideas and solutions

  • Self-confident, you can share your views, manage expectations and make sure processes are followed

  • A people-person, you can build relationships and win trust at all levels across the company

  • Excellent customer service skills, you want to help your colleagues and will go out of your way to find a solution

  • Proactive, taking accountability for tasks and seeing them through to the end
